Problem

Race time \(t\) is measured in seconds after the start, so \(t~\ge~0\). A mathematical graph shows an \(x\text{-}\text{intercept}\) at \((-2,~0)\). Test the point against the contextual constraint, then state the validity verdict and conclusion.

A point can belong to an unrestricted mathematical graph without making sense in the situation being modeled.
