Describe the end behavior of the exponential decay graph \(f(x)=8(0.5)^x\).

What this problem is really about

A decay base shrinks outputs as inputs move right, but its left-end behavior reverses that process. We’ll follow repeated multiplication by the retained fraction to the right and use negative exponents to see repeated reciprocal growth to the left. Keeping the ends separate explains which direction approaches the horizontal asymptote and which direction grows without bound.
