Reflection across a coordinate axis changes only the coordinate measured perpendicular to that axis. For a horizontal mirror, preserve each horizontal position and reverse the signed vertical distance; apply that same rule vertex by vertex, then check that every source-image pair is equally far from the axis on opposite sides.
