Interpret every component of \(800(1+0.06)^t\). Identify the initial amount, written rate, simplified interval factor, direction and percent of change, and what exponent \(t\) counts.

The coefficient, rate expression, base, and exponent each play a different role in an exponential model. We’ll verify the starting amount at exponent zero, simplify one plus the written rate into the interval factor, convert the rate to a signed percent change, and interpret the exponent as the number of completed intervals.
