Combine standard function types arithmetically to create models.
Evaluate an arithmetic combination of functions from a table
Problem
Use the function table to evaluate \((f+g)(2)\). Locate the row \(x=2\), record \(f(2)\) and \(g(2)\) from that same row, and show the addition that gives the result.
A table lookup for a combined function begins by fixing one input row. We’ll locate the requested row, read both operands without moving to another input, translate the notation into addition of those paired outputs, and then calculate the result.
