Analyze relationships among inscribed angles, central angles, circumscribed angles, radii, chords, diameters, and tangents.
Analyze the angle formed by two tangents drawn from the same external point
Problem
\(\text{Two}~\text{tangents}\) from the same external point intercept a major arc of \(260^{\circ}\) and a minor arc of \(100^{\circ}\). What is the angle measure between the tangents?
For an exterior angle formed by two tangents, the relevant information is the gap between the intercepted arcs. We’ll order the major and minor arcs, take half their positive difference, and cross-check with the supplementary-to-the-minor-arc form.
