Problem
A transversal forms congruent alternate interior angles with lines \(\ell~\) and \(m\). Name the converse theorem that justifies the parallel-line conclusion and state that conclusion.
The proof begins with angle congruence and must establish a line relationship, so a forward theorem would run in the wrong direction. We’ll verify that the marked angles are interior and on opposite transversal sides, then use the converse whose hypothesis exactly matches that position and congruence.
