Problem
Using the table, compute \(P(\text{bus}|\text{freshman})\) as the \(\text{bus}\) cell \(8\) divided by the conditioned \(\text{freshman}\) row total \(20\).
A table conditional uses the margin of the named condition, not the target column or grand total. We’ll restrict to the freshman row, place its bus cell over the row total, reduce and convert the ratio, and state the resulting within-freshmen bus rate.
