Determine the end behavior of a polynomial with leading term \(-2x^5\).

What this problem is really about

End behavior is controlled by the leading term because its highest power dominates for large inputs. We’ll use the odd exponent to determine that the two ends have opposite signs, then use the negative coefficient to reverse the basic odd-power pattern. That sign analysis determines the far-left and far-right behavior without graphing the whole polynomial.
