Compare data sets using center and spread measures appropriate to distribution shape.
Compare two data sets from visual summaries
Problem
Dot-plot summaries give A: median \(8\), minimum \(6\), maximum \(10\); B: median \(12\), minimum \(9\), maximum \(15\). Compare the median centers and their difference, then calculate and compare the range spreads and their difference.
Treat center and spread as two separate questions about the same pair of distributions. First compare the medians to describe where typical values sit, then compare maximum-minus-minimum spans to describe variability, keeping each signed difference in one consistent subtraction order.
