Problem
Write the equation and calculate the number of \(2/3\text{-}\text{cup}\) scoops in \(4~\text{cups}\) of trail mix.
Big Picture
What this problem is really about
This is a how-many-groups question: the total four cups is divided by the two-thirds-cup size of each scoop. We’ll keep that order, multiply by the reciprocal of two thirds, and interpret the quotient as a number of scoops. Multiplying the scoop count by the serving size should reconstruct the total.
