Use ratio tables and double number lines to solve missing-value and scaling problems.

Identify a correct ratio table or double number line

Problem

Evaluate the completed ratio tables against the base ratio \(2~\text{cups}~\text{of}~\text{juice}~\text{for}~\text{every}~5~\text{cups}~\text{of}~\text{water}\). Determine the table that preserves equivalent ratios in every column.

Big Picture

What this problem is really about

A correct table must preserve juice first, water second, and the two-to-five relationship in every column. We’ll compare each juice entry with two to identify its column factor, then test whether the matching water entry uses that same factor on five. A regular-looking additive pattern is not enough if even one paired column fails.
