Problem

A store packs \(5~\text{bags}\) with \(x~\text{candies}\) and \(2~\text{stickers}\) in \(\text{each}~\text{bag}\). Model the repeated groups and apply the distributive property. Report the expanded total-items equation.

What this problem is really about

Model one bag as a single grouped package containing both its variable number of candies and its two stickers. Because there are five identical bags, five multiplies that whole package. Distributing across the group counts all five candy amounts and all five sticker amounts without losing either type of item.
