Determine the rule that maps inputs \(1,~2,~3,~\text{and}~4\) to outputs \(4,~5,~6,~\text{and}~7\), and write it in \(y~=~f(x)\) form.

An input–output rule must connect the two entries within each row, not merely describe how outputs change as you move down the table. Compare every output with its paired input to look for one consistent operation, express that operation using x and y, and test it on all four rows.
