Generate and plot ordered pairs from rules, tables, and contexts.
Check whether a coordinate pair fits a rule
Problem
For \(y~=~2x~+~1\), identify every pair that does not fit: \((0,1)\), \((2,5)\), \((3,8)\), \((4,10)\).
Big Picture
What this problem is really about
To decide whether a pair fits the rule, treat its first coordinate as x and compute the rule’s output. Compare that result with the pair’s second coordinate: equality means the pair fits, while a mismatch identifies a failure. Repeat this substitution for every pair because the task asks for the complete set of failures, not merely the first one found.
