Problem

A population doubles each equal interval. Interpret \(\log_{2}(64)~=~6\) by stating the multiplicative factor and percent growth, target multiple, interval count, and exponential check.

Translate the logarithm into a repeated-growth model by assigning each part a contextual role. The base is the multiplier per equal interval, the argument is the final-to-initial target ratio, and the logarithm's value counts the intervals. Convert the multiplier to percent change by subtracting one before expressing it as a percent.
